Chickens have been close to our hearts since childhood, thanks to my mom's yearly classroom hatchings at the elementary school she taught at. When Tyler and I bought our first home during the pandemic, making space for our own flock was a top priority. Tyler's knack for carpentry led us to build our first coop from pallets under the shelter of three trees, in the midst of a North Carolina winter. What began as a small project became a labor of love, revealing our passion for creating safe, beautiful homes and structures for backyard homesteading. Through Three Trees & A Coop, we strive to inspire and empower individuals to embrace the beauty and practicality of sustainable practices in their own backyard sanctuaries.
We do more than just build chicken coops and greenhouses—we offer an opportunity to cultivate a space that embodies your unique lifestyle. It's not merely about owning a coop or greenhouse; it's about creating a sanctuary where you can enjoy quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, find solace during the afternoon, and unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. It's about cultivating fresh herbs, flowers, and vegetables year-round, regardless of the weather outside. It's about cracking open a freshly laid egg into the skillet for breakfast or sharing your eggs with neighbors. It's about fostering connections with loved ones and sharing the abundance of your backyard retreat.
